Legal Claims Handler
Multitask Personnel are recruiting for a Legal Claims Handler for a well-established Law Firm in Sheffield.
The Legal Claims Hander is responsible for the receipt of the initial instructions and initial matter creation and associated checks to support risk assessment
Duties:
Run your own caseload to ensure that all claims are up to date and progressed in the correct time frame from instruction to conclusion.
Taking potential customers through a full claim assessment and fact find over the phone and assessing if they have had a financial loss and if a claim can be made.
To review incoming information and establish the claim route
Establish at the earliest opportunity an entity who a claim can be brought against
Checking all compliance requirements were on the file e.g. Deadlines, AML evidence, Terms of Business
Request all relevant information from the relevant parties as soon as identified
Researching information and preparing legal documentation.
Attending Court to present the case.
Be proactive and use initiative when presented with problems or issues
Provide excellent customer service by regularly updating clients on the progress of their case, costs and answering any queries in a professional manner
·Be proactive in your approach to the role by constantly researching the area of law you practice and keeping up to date with all relevant case law/industry updates
Support the training and development of staff within your team and provider wider support to general standalone Litigators.
Requirements:
Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public
English GCSE (grade 9-1, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent)
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications
Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads
Flexible approach to working as some evening and weekend work might be required to meet the Client's needs
Capability to undertake all assignments in a timely manner
35 Hours Monday to Friday
Salary £16500
