About the Bid Manager role:
As part of the Inspired Online B2B team, you will work closely with the Regional Partnership Managers to enable the retention of existing business and to actively support the securing of new business opportunities through pro-active tendering and bid management activity.
Key responsibilities of our Bid Manager:
Review and centralise existing tender notification processes and systems
Manage and monitor procurement frameworks across all existing Clients and support the annual review and QA processes associated with their successful continuance
Drive the responses to any tender and framework provisions for new business to extend our framework coverage across England and Wales
Formulate our responses to Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) opportunities
Improve the quality of any bid processes and contribute to the development and submission of high-quality submissions
Ensure configuration control of key bid documentation and ensure effective communication of changes to stakeholders
Develop and maintain the bid management plan and schedule
What we are looking for in our Bid Manager:
The Business Procurement manager will be a graduate, ideally with proven bid and tender management experience in the public sector
Experience of the education marketplace is not essential but desirable. The ideal candidate will have the ability to be develop bid management processes and actively drive successful submission activities.
A strong understanding of public procurement
In-depth understanding of the end to end tender process including direct award, framework and DPS procurement processes
The ability to initiate and participate in post submission bid review and drive actions to strengthen processes
The ability to support ongoing contract performance reviews with client procurement and delivery teams
Knowledge of procurement practices, standards and law pertaining to the public sector
Strong commercial awareness and results orientated
Proven experience of developing successful relationships within LA's /Local government
Strong analytical skills, with a good attention to detail, enabling them to make a valuable contribution to decisions relating to the development of Inspired Online Schools offering in the marketplace
Highly aware of the technology space and how future trends can be incorporated into education
A flexible, highly energetic approach and the ability to thrive in a business with a fast changing, collaborative, delivery culture
