We have a Test Technician roles for one of our key rail clients based in Stoke on Trent as they continue to expand their business. This would be on a 12-month contract basis
As a Test Technician you will be working 40 hours a week, working late and early shifts Monday to Friday. The rate is £35ltd per hour and the role is inside IR35
Test Technician duties would include:
· Proactively maintain the customer's locomotive fleet to ensure safe and reliable operation
· To regularly test and benchmark locomotives, working towards a specific test specification
· Respond to the customer's unscheduled events in a rapid & efficient manner
· Complete and maintain all relative documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Competencies and experience required for a Test Technician would be:
· Relevant experience gained in a similar position/similar locomotive.
· Proven track record of working effectively with Diesel engineering technology, associated systems and controls
· Ability to work on locomotives in railway sidings, depots, and operational sites
· Understand the safety culture within the global rail industry and how maintenance impacts on delivering safety
· Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent experience
