Teaching Assistant - Early Years & Lower School

Permanent - Full time

Salary: Unqualified - £14,500 - £19,000 or Qualfied £17,000 - £24,700 (depending on experience and qualifications)

We are working with a Preparatory School based in Moreton-In-Marsh and set in the idyllic Cotsworlds, who are looking for x2 Teaching Assistants to support their EYFS and Lower School Children on a full time permanent basis to start as soon as possible!

The candidates will require the following desirable skills:

Experience working with children of relevant age
Good numeracy/literacy skills
Training in the relevant learning strategies e.g. literacy Ability to use ICT effectively to support learning
Ability to use other equipment technology, e.g. camera, photocopier
An understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
A general understanding of national/foundation stage curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies
A basic understanding of principles of child development and learning processes
Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
Ability to relate well to children and adults
Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
The candidate will be required to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teachers in the management of pupils and the classroom as well as work under the instruction/guidance of senior/teaching staff to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching and to help raise standards of achievement for all pupils. Work may be carried out in the classrooms or outside the main teaching area.
