Infrastructure Project Manager | £400 - £500/day Outside IR35 | 3 - 6 months | 2 days onsite East Mids
- Responsible for day-to-day management of regional, Medium-High complexity projects. Takes responsibility for liasing with the business; the project plan development, definition, documentation and successful completion of IT projects, following the published IT Project Methodology ensuring that realistic project, quality and risk plans are prepared and maintained and that a project change control procedure is in place.
- Leads one or more project teams; allocating and monitoring tasks, motivating staff and appraising individual performance on the project. Manages a project team of internal information technology professionals and/or other 3rd party specialists to deliver a portfolio of projects. Provides input to managers in establishing accountabilities and providing feedback for line managers/3rd party account managers on the performance of project team members.
- Owns responsibility for the successful completion of assigned projects, ensuring that realistic project, quality and risk plans are prepared and maintained. Ensure own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are captured and appropriate action taken.
- Establishes & manages program & project budgets as appropriate to ensure forecast consistency & annual plan compliance. Monitors & controls resources, revenue & capital costs against project budget & facilitates management of expectations of all project stakeholders.
- Supports overall IT Portfolio performance reporting and ensures informative and action-oriented project communications are created and distributed to project stakeholders, including PMO, Steering Committee, IT Business Partners, business leads, and project team members. Distribute status reports, manage feedback and consolidate updates.
