We are looking for somebody enthusiastic and empathetic to take on a role as teaching assistant for a Primary school in Cambridge.
The position will see you supporting pupils in a KS2 class, on a full time basis for the spring term. This particular role is a general support role, but you will also be expected to work in small groups and complete some 1:1 work with pupils who require additional support.
The school itself is based on the outskirts of central Cambridge, and is within a diverse catchment area. The school site is modern and warm, and is home to a large number of pupils who are enthusiastic about learning.
You will be;
Supporting the class teacher to prepare for classes, and help ensure the smooth running of lessons
Work with small groups of individuals who may need support in their learning or engagement
Working Monday-Friday 8.30-3.30 during term time, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch
You may also be working with pupils with special educational needs such as; Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Speech and Learning difficulties

School based experience is desirable but not mandatory, transferable backgrounds such as; youth work, sports coaching, care work, social work etc would also be suitable for this position
You must be available to start immediately or in the very near future
You must be patient and have the pupils best interests in mind at all times
This role can be challenging but immensely rewarding so you will need to be resilient!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
