We have an opportunity for a Finance Officer to join their central services team to provide financial and administrative support to colleagues, clients and stakeholders of the business. The role will assist the Finance Manager to execute financial plans and devise business improvement systems that support operational excellence.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide an effective financial accounting and reporting service to the digital and consulting teams across various global locations. In this rewarding role you will provide a diverse range of financial services including accounts receivables/payables supervision, month- and year-end accounts preparation and reporting, budgetary planning, internal financial reporting, implementing strong internal control procedures and quality assurance and audit processes.
Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Credit control management, ensuring efficient client invoicing, debt collection and payment allocation protocols.
Ensuring all finance transactions are captured in a timely manner against relevant budget lines and finance records are archived and safeguarded.
Key balance sheet reconciliations including bank/cash, debtors/creditors, fixed assets and statutory liabilities.
Ensuring high-quality, timely and accurate financial reports with supporting analysis to aid decision-making across all levels of the business.
Working closely with project managers to continually map forward revenue forecasts.
Developing, implementing, auditing and improving finance SOPs.
Assisting with preparation of month-end and year-end accounts.
Assisting with the development of annual budgets.
Review and appraisal of finance systems for continuing relevance to business needs.
Supporting finance-related business improvement initiatives including digital transformation.
Supporting general office operations and facilities management.
Working with colleagues on ad-hoc development projects in a progressive business environment as required
A relevant bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional qualification - IATI, ACA, ACCA or CIMA part /fully qualified
A minimums of 3 years post qualified experience in a similar role, preferably within a dynamic small-medium sized business. OR
A minimum of 6 years recent experience in a similar role. Preferably within a small-medium sized business.
Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
Experience within a fast-paced and high energy environment.
Excellent knowledge of standard finance process, procedures, and systems.
Working knowledge of finance/accounting systems.
Ability to demonstrate strong professional versatility, including switching between tasks and fulfilling varying work tasks.
An aptitude for executing business improvement initiatives.
Experience of troubleshooting problems and providing recommendations.
Ability to manipulate and present data and provide concise recommendations.
ATI, ACA, ACCA or CIMA fully qualified
Experience within a consulting environment.
Experience within the professional services sector.
