Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will coordinate and manage accounting processes related to the historical reporting of the legal entity. This individual will play a central role in supporting the Financial Controller on statutory audits, policies and controls and intercompany activities. This role will deputise as and when for the Financial Controller, so you will need the gravitas and ambition to be able to work within a demanding and fast-moving business.

The Role Responsibilities:

Managing a small team of 6 within our finance function

Management of the monthly reporting cycle - reporting of financial performance of individual entities and on a consolidated basis, Board and investors reports. Balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany confirmations to agreed month end timetable and group requirements

Providing quarterly and monthly forecasting and subsequent variance analysis

Provide accurate analytical and financial reporting which is insightful and identifies opportunities to the business and management

Oversee all banking, credit card and cash transactions and support the AP/AR functions in ensuring the accurate and efficient recording of all payments and cash receipts. Delivery of monthly cash flow forecasts.

Prepare and oversee other finance function (i.e. payroll, pensions VAT submissions).

Assisting the Financial Controller in development and implementation of efficient, accurate and robust accounting processes, systems and policies

Support the Financial Controller in the delivery of finance led projects

Work closely with off-shore shared services finance teams to ensure reporting is appropriate, compliant and timely

Ensure the accurate and complete accounting and reporting of overheads, inventory, controls and policies, and physical stock counts

Manage the preparation of annual statutory accounts to agreed external reporting deadlines; including account preparation, review and liaison with external auditors on audit deliverables and queries

Knowledge Requirements:

Experience of managing a small team

Qualified or Finalist ACCA/CIMA/ACA with 3-5 years related experience.

Strong technical accounting and finance knowledge - accounting standards and applicable regulations

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word

Experienced at prioritizing workload and delivering to deadlines
