Job Title: Assistant Relationship Manager - Real Estate Finance

Our client is a highly successful overseas bank, based in London who lend across mulitple verticals. This role will specifically sit within their real estate finance team. The team has a fantastic culture and are looking for a Assistant Relationship Manager to complement them.

About the Assistant Relationship Manager - Real Estate Finance

As the Assistant Relationship Manager - Real Estate Finance you will have an exciting opportunity to develop both your technical and client servicing skills in an established real estate team who focus on clients with typical borrowings between £1-20m in residential/commercial investment and residential development financing.

As an Assistant Relationship Manager - Real Estate Finance your responsibilities and duties will include:
  • To provide support to the property Relationship Managers on all aspects of customer service and administrative duties in the Property Department;
  • To provide a first class service to the property customers;
  • To maintain a portfolio of 'credit only' property related retail customers.

Essential Skills and Competencies of the Assistant Relationship Manager - Real Estate Finance
  • To visit customers and potential customers to enhance the Bank's knowledge of them;
  • Ensuring services are provided to property customers and potential customers to a high standard;
  • To be responsible for account opening (including the input onto the AML system)/ account closing for all property customers;
  • To ensure excesses on property customer accounts are cleared;
  • To attend meetings with the Relationship Managers as and when required;
  • To assist with the preparation of the credit applications as requested by the Relationship Managers;
  • To assist with the preparation of facility letters as requested by the Relationship Managers;
  • To ensure financial statements are received for all property corporate customers and to follow up for receipt of up to date financial statements on an annual basis;
  • To analyse financial statements
  • To visit properties charged to the Bank as requested by the Relationship Managers;
  • To issue Head of Terms and property Facility letters
  • To instruct valuers, monitoring surveyors and solicitors letters
  • To assist the Head of Corporate Banking and Property Lending in preparing HO and other monthly/quarterly reports;
  • To be responsible for financial and non-financial covenant checking for all property customers;
  • To ensure fees are debited to the property customer account as and when due;
  • To maintain a portfolio of 'credit only' property related customers, ensuring that each customer is monitored correctly in accordance with the KYC/Anti money laundering procedures and each customer also receives a high service level at all times;
