Our client, a FTSE listed bank, is seeking an experienced financial modeller or analyst with strong coding experience for a brand new role in the business.
This is a key role for the business as they are invested in taking a more data-driven approach to making decisions in key treasury risks including liquidity and funding, interest rate risk and credit. It's a great time to join this growing bank as they've just invested in a new Treasury system and this particular role will have big exposure with a number of key deliverable over the next couple of years

THE ROLE
- Lead the development and implementation of solutions within the new Treasury system impacting liquidity risk models, interest rate risk models, ALM models etc
- End to end ownership of the data, reporting and analytics processes including from design to development to testing and implementation
- Champion the use of modelling and analytics into decision making across the Treasury function and the wider business
- Using bank liquidity metrics and forecasting methodology to determine funding optimisation scenarios
- Communicate with a wide variety of key stakeholders across Treasury, Risk, Product and to various committees and the Board including presenting analytical insights and data-driven recommendations
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Extensive programming and data analysis experience within the banking or financial services space is essential
- Strong coding experience using tools such as SQL, SAS, MatLab, Python etc
- Strong knowledge of data and analytics required
- Ideally you will have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Treasury space
