Business Development Executive
£25,000 – £28,000 Depending on Experience plus annual bonus
Holidays: 25 days per year plus 8 statutory holidays. (Additional option to buy up to 5 days)
Hours: 40 per week, Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch

Skills Required: Previous sales and business development experience

+ Be proactive in creating and maintaining quality relationships with all customers to achieve the budgeted sales volume/value targets.
+ Understand pricing and negotiation and its effect on profitability
+ Demonstrate high levels of account management to resolve any issues or queries raised by the customer and escalate their resolution where necessary. Ensuring that we obtain and maintain preferred supplier status to our targeted customers.
+ Analysis of sales data on a daily basis to ensure you are up to speed with sales for each customer
+ Undertake sales administration, including processing orders and data entry
+ Promote all Merchant products to every customer, including the sales of overstock and old and quarantined stock
+ Provide continuous information to the Area Sales Manager that will assist him/her in achieving budgeted sales.
+ Foster the building of long term, value-generating relationships with our customer base
About your skills:
+ Previous sales skills over the phone
+ Proven track record of delivering first class customer service and the development of new business
+ Excellent administration and organisational skills with an eye for detail
+ Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
+ Ability to prioritise effectively
+ A confident and outgoing person.
+ A genuine team player.
+ Proven negotiating skills.
+ A desire to succeed and excel above your given targets.
+ Good level of mathematical understanding.
+ Loves to build customer relationships on the telephone.
+ Excellent time management skills.
