Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the SEO Manager to implement SEO strategy and performance driving initiatives.
- Work with the SEO Manager to report on key metrics and KPIs to measure performance
- Regular keyword analysis to identify areas of development
- Carrying out on-page, content and backlink audits
- Alongside the SEO Manager, develop SEO knowledge and best practice principles across the wider Digital Marketing Team
- Run regular content audits to reduce content duplications, remove underperforming content and identify opportunities for improvement and "quick wins"
- Run regular link audits, reducing the possibility of an algorithmic or manual penalty
- Collaborate with the team to improve performance in SERPS across all company brands
- Keep abreast of any updates and industry news that may impact your area of expertise
- Utilise Google Analytics and other tools to track performance and develop SEO strategy
- Assist in Technical SEO Audits, identifying areas for improvement and fixing problems
- Reporting and analysis of activity, track performance and identify areas for improvement
- Make changes across all brand websites including briefing work to developers, monitoring split tests and analysing impact of changes
- Build and maintain a system of regular competitor analysis
- Building business cases for future SEO technology investments
Job Specific Competencies:
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Proven track record in a junior SEO role
- Diplomas or certificates in relevant marketing disciplines would be an advantage
- Minimum 1 years' technical SEO experience
- Experience in keyword research, content creation and content marketing for SEO
- Technical SEO experience, you'll be able to assist in reviewing our sites and identify issues impacting organic search performance
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Understanding of offsite and onsite optimisation factors
- Experience of cross-functional team working - content writers, developers and the wider marketing team
- Understanding of all digital marketing channels
- Experience of working to tight deadlines
- Awareness of Google's algorithm and SEO Best Practice
- Understanding of SEO tools including Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, AWR Cloud and Google Search Console
- UX experience
