Are you an experienced travel professional who is looking for a new challenge within the travel industry? Have you recently worked within the travel industry in a Customer Service role and are keen to return to the wonderful world of travel? I am currently recruiting for an amazing travel company who are looking for people to join their well-established team in their office in Nottingham. My client a leading tour operator are looking for a Sales Support Assistant to help with their customer service team. Ideally you will have travel experience, customer service or an interest of travel for this role so that you will have the ability to offer first-hand knowledge of the amazing destinations this company have to offer.

  • As a Sales Support Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • Working with our B2B partners on a day to day basis
  • Going the extra mile to ensure our agents and customers' needs are met
  • Deal with in coming agent contact via telephone, on-line chat and email
  • Support the management to meet with and surpass sales targets
  • Provide an offline booking service which support our on-line booking platform
  • Perform a daily booking audit to ensure all bookings are compliant with company procedures ensuring all discrepancies are reported via appropriate channels
  • Raising and dispatch of invoices and travel documents to agents ensuring where appropriate that 3rd party items are received in ample time prior to travel
  • Assisting with any department tasks and business opportunities that may arise on an ad-hoc basis
  • Help with training plans and offering training support to our agents
  • Monitor competitors activity and provide market intelligence where required

  • Experience in Tour Operations or a similar retail travel role desired but not compulsory
  • Have experience in a customer service, sales or admin role
  • a Passion and enthusiasm for Travel and Holidays
  • Be a problem solver with a can do attitude, so experience in customer service would be desired
  • Excellent administrative skills with high levels of attention to detail
  • A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with agents, customers and colleagues to offer support and guidance both verbally and written
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office software
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts including weekends and bank holidays
