The Reform Club has a unique opportunity for anIT Support Technicianto join our world leading, culturally significant hospitality organisation based in London's historic centre, St James, on a permanent, full time basis supporting a team of circa 90 staff.

The Role

The IT Support Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all the Clubs computer, AV and telephony systems. The overarching responsibilities of this standalone role are to implement the delivery of fundamental IT, AV and telephony services to best support the Club, its Members and its staff.

The IT Support Technician is a very hands-on role, working in a very large building, so would suit someone who enjoys being active and is happy to spend a fair bit of time on their hands and knees! Although the successful candidate will need to have some experience, wed be very willing to take on someone whos looking to develop their careers through further training and would be open to funding that training potentially reducing hours by 1 day per week to facilitate this.

The IT Support Technician role comes with:

Requirements for the role:

The position holder is expected to work collaboratively, ensuring that all tasks are undertaken both efficiently and effectively. This is a stand-alone role and the post holder will be required to provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for all user and system issues covering both software and hardware technologies, including Windows 7-10, MS Office 2010-2016 (although the Club is considering moving to Office 360 in the near future), CRM software (Jonas), and windows desktops and server, printers, scanners, photocopiers, telephony and AV systems. This will include some work in the evenings, to support our Events, so flexibility in terms of working hours is critical.

As the IT Support Technician, as well as being a hands-on technician, you will be required to manage service delivery by the Clubs external support provider for 3rd line escalations.

The following skills, qualifications and experience are required to fulfil the role:
  • At least 1 years experience in a Service Desk Engineer, Helpdesk Analyst, IT Support Technician, Application Support Engineer, Desktop Support Technician or similar role, with proven desktop support experience.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to communicate with users of differing technical ability
  • Flexible and commercial attitude to support a 24 hour operation.
  • Experience working in listed/ heritage buildings desirable.
  • Previous exposure to CAFM software and/ or Auto CAD desirable.
  • Experience working in a hospitality environment desirable.
