I am recruiting for temporary SEN support assistant to start ASAP at a special needs school based in Coventry. Working on a part time or full time basis, typically 8.30-3.30 Monday-Friday. You will be working with children aged between 2-19 that have additional needs. As part of the role as a SEN teaching assistant you will be required to work with a pupil in classroom settings and on a 1:1 basis. You will work closely with the class teacher aswell as the other teaching assistants in the classroom.

In order to be considered for this role you will need to have had experience working with pupils with special needs, experience of working in a school or a similar setting, a good knowledge of the primary or secondary curriculum and a knowledge of PECS and Makaton will also be advantageous, as would a full UK driving licence.

Job description and Spec:

Teaching assistant qualification in early years and primary or equivalent.

Knowledge and experience of the complexities of special educational needs.

Must be confident and interested in supporting children that are on the Autistic spectrum disorder.

Flexible and proactive in your approach
