Site Facilities Assistant (Electrician)

Job title: Site Facilities Assistant

Salary: £14 p/hour (paid weekly and overtime available)

Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri 08:00 - 16:00

Duties:
- Provide general facilities support across our 4 sites (pool car available for travel)
- Carrying out routine checks on fire sprinkler system, fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, compressed air systems, emergency lighting testing, portable appliance testing, MEWP checks, substation checks
- Recording of all weekly and monthly checks / inspections whilst keeping up to date files readily available for inspection at all times
- Reporting of any issues from routine inspections / daily activities direct with external contractors in order to avoid disruption to the business.
- Maintaining and repairing compressor filters, Oil levels, battery levels on MEWPS, lighting throughout offices, emergency lighting, diagnose and repair any faulty wiring for appliances etc.
- Testing of the fire alarm system (one Saturday per month - one site only)
- Support the Facilities Manager with the management of contractors on site and ordering of materials and services
- Providing cover for the Facilities Manager during holiday periods
- Attend training courses as appropriate and to keep all necessary skills up to date
- To ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, safe systems of work and SOPS

Requirements:
- 18th Edition
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or similar)
- Able to pass a DBS check
- Previous experience working in a similar role or with facilities maintenance

Desirable:
- PAT Testing Qualification
- IPAF Qualification
- Inspection and Testing Qualification (2391 or 2394/2395)
- Full UK driving license
