About the Opportunity:

The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer's needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).

The Mechanical Equipment Manager's responsibilities are to manage and successfully deliver the site wide construction installation of the Mechanical Plant and Equipment (P&E), testing and pre-commissioning activities. To manage customer and stakeholder relationships, and liaise with discipline design leads, procurement and other discipline managers to ensure design documents, material & equipment are handed to construction in a timely manner to meet the programme dates. You will support the discipline field engineer's construction effort, and approve the discipline sections in the Construction ITP's and RAMS.Here's What You'll Need:
  • IOSH Managing Safety.
  • Managerial or technical qualification - HNC or above
  • Substantial experience in mechanical equipment installation
  • Experience on Sellafield site installing cranes, bogies, shield doors etc.
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Multi discipline awareness
  • Aptitude for relationship building and teamwork and a focus on growth.
  • The ability to obtain BPSS is essential for this role.
