Venn Group is currently working with a School based in Slough who are looking for a Finance Assistant for an exciting temporary assignment.

Location: Slough

Hourly rate: £15 - £17 per hour
Duration: 3 months initially

Day to day duties include:
  • Ensuring that financial transaction processing is undertaken in a timely, accurate and complete manner
  • Support the Senior Finance Officer to maintain good financial controls and financial reporting, through regular reconciliations
  • Accurately and timely process approved invoices onto the Accounting System
  • Prepare payment runs on a bi-monthly basis for approval by Senior Finance Officer
  • Ensure safekeeping of money received
  • Count monies received and prepare for banking and process the relevant journal vouchers
  • Respond to queries from suppliers, customers and auditors, including providing information on transactions and outstanding balances on accounts
  • Processing supplier invoices, including scanning, registering, matching to purchase orders and goods receipts
  • Ensuring suppliers are paid on a weekly basis by BACS
  • Processing payments using suitable online systems and to record them on the main finance IT system

Essential Skills for the role:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • An enhanced DBS (dated in the last 2 years)
