Meraki Talent are engaged on an excellent permanent Finance Manager role based in Edinburgh paying £45,000 - £55,000 plus excellent bonus & pension.

The Role

The Finance Manager role is an extremely varied position that will be involved in management and statutory accounting, as well heavily commercially focused - budgeting, forecasting, modelling, Board reporting etc.

Candidate Profile

We are keen to engaged with qualified Accountants that have qualified within an Accountancy Practice/Firm and are looking to make their first move into industry. Ideally, the individual with have strong business advisory or business support experience, however individuals that have audit with accounts preparation exposure will also be considered.

It's not expected the successful candidate will tick every box of the job specification, as training will be provided but they must have accounts preparation experience.

Line Manager

The line manager should be considered a huge attraction of this role as they have a superb track record of assisting aspiring finance professionals make the transition into industry having made the same move themselves. This is due to their fantastic training and induction process, including drip-feeding the duties & responsibilities of the role where they begin by introducing the successful Finance Manager to management & financial accounting before adding the commercial focused duties a few months down the line.

As a result of the sound financial backing and strategy, it's a realistic possibility the successful individual can be promoted to a financial leadership position within the near future.

On Offer

The role of Finance Manager will offer:
  • £45,000 - £55,000 base salary

  • Flexible and hybrid working - only require to be in the central Edinburgh office 1 day per week

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
  • Production and presentation of monthly management accounts & Board packs
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Budget setting and monitoring
  • Short, medium and long-term forecasting
  • Commercial analysis and financial modelling
  • VAT & taxation returns
  • Cashflow analysis & treasury reporting
  • Developing processed, procedures & controls
  • Liaising with core & transactional finance - purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control
  • Business partnering with internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered, you must have the following experience:
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Qualified with an Accountancy Practice/Firm
  • Business Advisory/business support or audit with accounts preparation exposure
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
