Project Manager - Website / eCommerce - Programme Management Office (PMO) - Global Scaleup - 2 days per week - 3 Months FTC - up to £500/day (DoE)

We are on the hunt for an exceptional, process-driven Project Manager, with demonstrable experience delivering website / e-commerce projects, to join the Programme Management Office (PMO) of a fast-growing, global scaleup 2 days per week on a 3 month fixed term contract.

The PMO owns the coordination of all projects for the international arm of this amazing circular economy scaleup. The Project Manager would be responsible for managing a website project for the international team, ensuring that the project is planned, coordinated and communicated and that stakeholder expectations are managed and commitments are met. You will adhere to project delivery methodology so that the project is accomplished to schedule, quality and within budget.

We're looking for a dynamic, personable and highly organised Project Manager with expert-level knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches (i.e. Project and Portfolio Management Methodology - PPM, Prince2). You will be a strategic thinker with experience in building relationships with internal stakeholders, delivery partners and external vendor groups and you will be diplomatic, approachable and personable yet focused, diligent and results-driven.


This is an incredible contract opportunity to join an exciting scaleup at a time of rapid growth, where you will be able to utilise your skills and experience to ensure the success of the project. This is currently a remote working contract role (due to Covid restrictions), however our client usually offers hybrid working, with employees able to work both remotely and in the Central London office. Our client is offering a competitive salary (pro rata) for the right person.
There may be some need to travel depending on the needs of the project - subject to any travel restrictions.

Key responsibilities as the Project Manager - Website (PMO) will include:

* Acting as advisor to the various International and US teams on all project elements as required and agreed during due diligence/discovery; delivering the needed governance documentation

* Preparing and delivering project plans for the project (outlining the activities, tasks, dependencies and timeframes), jointly baselined with key stakeholders, and placed under change control

* Leading the virtual team(s) (as the overall primary point of contact and escalation point), coordinating and tracking all project delivery activities and ensuring all key milestones are met

* Managing the relationship and communications with the supplier(s) / agency(ies)

* Executing the project governance and participating in both operational and strategic project review boards

* Producing and presenting project progress reports highlighting Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies and Changes and working with leaders to ensure corrective action is taken

* Assessing, recording and mitigating risks/dependencies against project on-time delivery, quality and/or budget

What we're looking for:

* Previous demonstrable experience in similar project management roles

* 5+ years' experience in project management

* Experience of website / e-commerce delivery projects is essential

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent

* Expert-level knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches (PPM, Prince2)

* Strong understanding of how brand and content fit into the website delivery process

* Ability to manage and coordinate cross functional teams split across territories

* Good understanding of establishing ways of working between teams on how to manage continuous improvements to the website journey

* Ability to lead and motivate project teams to successfully deliver the project within agreed time scales, assigned budgets an to high quality standards

* Demonstrable facilitation, negotiation and problem resolution skills

* Ability to build a strong network and solid relationships with internal stakeholders, delivery partners and external vendor groups

* Ability to manage remotely and with resources who work for other organisations

* Exceptional organisational skills, confident communications skills, sound judgment and decision-making capabilities

* Available 2 days per week and able to commit to a 3 month FTC
