JOB TITLE: Curriculum Lead - ESOL
LOCATION: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
SALARY: £32,337 - £35,284

QRS are recruiting for a Curriculum Lead - ESOL, on a full-time basis on a one year, fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of a curriculum area, working with the Head of Faculty to ensure an innovative and high quality programme provision.

Role Responsibilities

Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following areas:

Oversee the day to day operational coordination, quality and development of the programme or programmes assigned, proactively identifying areas for improvement and action where necessary
Line manage and support your team of Lecturers including Performance Review and Development, recruitment, coaching/mentoring, initial performance management and general day to day management (e.g. processing holiday requests etc)
Plan, implement with your team and cross college curriculum teams, monitor and manage the intake of new students during enrolment to ensure every student undertakes initial assessment for English and maths, diagnostic assessment and all relevant prior achievement are gathered and recorded in one standardised electronic system. Identify individual students who are exempt, based on evidence.
Plan staff timetables to ensure all programmes have suitable qualified staffing, whilst maximising staff utilisation. Provide staffing cover for absence to ensure continuity for students.
Ensure every student completes appropriate external work experience by the agreed deadlines, to meet the funding requirements of the Programme of Study and to work with the Work Experience and Achievement Support Leaders (ASL) teams to ensure that the work experience is successfully undertaken and experience fed back in to the students ILP.
Monitor and manage attendance ensuring timely communication and follow up with relevant Curriculum Leaders, Lecturers, Trainers, Achievement Support Leaders, etc.
