Assistant Management Accountant - Erdington
£28,916.84 per annum
37.5 hour per week

The Group includes Trident Housing, which provides landlord services for the Group in respect of housing management and maintenance; Trident Reach, a registered care and support charity providing services (homeless, mental health, young people, older people, BME groups and domestic violence) to people in the Midlands.
About the role
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner with key relationships with operational colleagues. The successful candidate will work with our business to report, understand and influence financial and operational performance.
To assist the Finance Business Partner to prepare the annual budgets/accounts and regular forecasts of income and expenditure within timetables
To assist with preparing monthly management accounts, in accordance with timetables, ensuring accuracy of transactions
Attend and contribute to meetings - presenting financial information or project updates, giving advice and helping to agree actions as appropriate.
Liaising with key business partners to provide management information to help understand performance and make good data driven decisions
To ensure that financial controls, standing orders and financial regulations are adhered to
Assist with Preparing returns to regulators and other agencies as required
Promote the image of the Group in all dealings with the public, colleagues and outside agencies
Ensure the review and implementation of tight financial controls to minimise risk and safeguard the company's assets
Contributing to the continual improvement and efficiency of the finance department
An understanding of the challenges facing the housing and charity sectors
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good knowledge of Excel and other MS packages and a sound knowledge of Finance and reporting Systems.
Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective liaison with internal and external clients.
Able to work flexibly and under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
