Assistant Civil Design Engineer

Excellent opportunity to join a Consultancies civil engineering design team, focusing on supporting new build housing developments whilst being mentored by senior members of the team.

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 basic (Depending on experience)


The Resolute Group are working in partnership with this UK consultancy that offers a number of different Civil Engineering design solutions. This particular role is based in the Birmingham office within the Residential team, focusing with their core clients that include 80% of the top 20 housing developers in the UK.

Offering the mentorship of experienced Civil engineers as you work across a diverse range of projects with Blue-Chip residential developers. This consultancy has a graduate programme in place that allows you to continue your career development, progressing your career in to becoming a Chartered Engineer.

As an Assistant Civil Engineer, you will be involved with a range of projects and will undertake detailed design of all civil engineering elements on residential and mixed-use developments. Day to day duties will change but could consist of:

Supporting the Principal / Associate & Senior Engineers in the technical delivery of projects.
Attending and contributing to project / client meetings and undertaking site inspections as required.
Completing designs based on guidance from Line Manager, applying sound technical knowledge relevant to the role.
Perform your duties using AutoCAD, Windes and PDS or XP Site 3DThis is a hybrid role with 3 days working in Central Birmingham near Birmingham new street station and 2 days working from home. At first you will be more office based while you learn the role and gain experience from the team around you.

Qualificatons: -

Minimum of a HNC or HND or Degree in Civil Engineering.
Be proficient in use of AutoCAD or Windes or PDS or XP Site 3D
Some Design experience be it a placement year or prior / post degreeTo Apply:
