Trainee Teacher - Near Guildford

An inspiring school, near Guildford, Surrey, are looking for outgoing and resilient individuals who have experience in the SEN/EBD field, to join their team!

The school supports children and young people with an autism spectrum disorder. The children are offered an individualised curriculum, alongside onsite therapy sessions and a range of key life skills and learning opportunities led by the dedicated teams allowing them to thrive and achieve their full potential.

If you have experience working with vulnerable children, or community care and you have a positive attitude, patience and resilience, this role would be perfect for you!

- Term time only (9 weeks holiday)

-Free on site parking

Your role would include:

-Working 1 to 1 with pupils in a small class setting, to provide behavioural based instructions for pupils to meet their full potential

-Contributing to the production, organisation and maintenance of individualised teaching materials

-Support pupils with their social and emotional development through interaction and engagement

-Encourage and assist pupils to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene

-Assist in extra-curricular and off-site activities with pupils during school hours

-Supervising indoor/outdoor playtime for all pupils

Skills and capabilities:

-Minimum Grade "C" or equivalent, in English Language & Maths

-Experience of working with children and/or young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

-An understanding and personal commitment to safeguarding

-Able to perform tasks of a physical nature

-A positive and resilient attitude

-Early Years qualified is desirable

-Own means of transport, due to location
