Substance Misuse Nurse / Health and Wellbeing Nurse - Dagenham, London
Your new company
You will be working with a leading health and care charity who work with individuals, families that are affected by drugs, alcohol, crime, homelessness, domestic abuse and antisocial behaviour. The contract is for 4 months to start with and will be reviewed after. Working hours are: Mon- Fri 9-5pm.
Location: St Luke's Service - Dagenham
Your new role
You will be required to undertake Health and Wellbeing assessments for all opiate service users and users of other drugs
Undertake Nurse Alcohol Assessments for all alcohol service users as indicated by the CGL Alcohol policy, using results to determine safe detoxification as required.
Provide titration for opiate service users as part of the health and wellbeing clinics to ensure the service user achieves an optimum dose of OST. This process is supported by good communication to other team members, including community pharmacists.
Provide screening for blood borne viruses (BBV), through dry blood spot testing.
