We are recruiting for a highly successful Construction and Engineering company, well respected and an outstanding employer. Previous experience within a Construction company is needed for this role.
As an integral member of the team, you will provide preparing, examining, and analysing financial
reports and records all in order to ensure first class support to the Company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Work in the spirit of the company's core values, contributing to best practice
Project Accounting integrity of costs, revenue ledgers and transaction processing
Resolve outstanding queries or disputes in a timely manner to avoid cash deductions from client
payments
Assist project team with external client audits
Maintain reconciliations for central costs to be split between each project
Prepare Client sales invoices in line with commercial department applications, and ensure the accurate
Entry of invoices and corresponding cash in financial systems
Maintain accurate bank postings within the accounting system including weekly reconciliations
Preparing and posting accurate Journals, Accruals and Prepayments in line with Accounting policies,
and accurate cost allocation
Good Understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
Experience in preparation of statutory accounts
Management of fixed asset register
Clear understanding of intercompany re-charges and reconciliations
Excellent knowledge of VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax
Experience in dealing with auditors and in resolving audit queries
Experience in process improvement
Other Ad-hoc duties required by the management
General (All Employees)
Participate in, and positively promote, the company core values
Undertake any reasonable duties expected of you
Carry out all work in accordance with health and safety and any other legal requirements
Ensure compliance with the Company policies and procedures
