Experienced Nursery Manager Needed in Purley

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Nursery in Purley looking for a permanent Nursery Manager to join their team.

This Purley Setting is operational Monday to Friday; 07:30-18:30, 51 weeks of the year for children aged 0 - 4 years and has places for up to 90 children. The nursery is situated in a bright and wonderfully spacious detached building with outside space.

The Nursery is very easily accessible by bus and train, and is within walking distance to the local Purley stations and amenities. The position is Nursery Manager and the ideal candidate would be motivated, talented and highly experienced with a wealth of leadership qualities. You will also need to demonstrate how to build and develop strong relationships with the parents and staff and ensure all the Ofsted requirements are met throughout the setting.

Salary & benefits include:

* £37,000-£41,000 per annum

Your role will include:

* Achieving and maintaining the highest standards of care

* Leading and managing the staff team effectively

* Supporting the management of staff recruitment and retention

* Manage the budget and occupancy levels effectively

* Providing motivation, education and evaluation to all members of staff and pupils

* Ensuring all the children reach their highest potential throughout their development

* Building and maintaining good relationships with children and parents, attending parent and staff meetings

* Implementing the EYFS curriculum, completing observations, planning and any additional paperwork for key children

* Supporting children with additional needs and IEP's

* Contributing to the strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation and development of the nursery

* Ordering and maintaining equipment and resources

* Working closely with outside agencies

* Keeping up to date on all childcare issues

* Ensuring that the ratios are maintained at all times

* Maintaining accurate and up to date personnel records for all employees within the nursery, providing constructive, honest feedback to support and encourage all the staff

* Managing staff annual leave requests to ensure staffing requirements are met

All candidates must have:

* A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent

* Previous experience as a Manager

* The ability to work well in a team

* Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted & Safeguarding

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

* Outstanding time keeping and attendance record

* A positive & friendly nature
