Interim Accountant

Grafton Banks Finance Ltd is pleased to be supporting a rapidly growing SME financial services organisation with their recruitment of two Interim Accountants. These positions will provide cover at a busy time of the year. The intention is for these temporary roles to run alongside the recruitment of two junior, permanent hires. The positions are likely to run for circa 2-4 months.

Duties include:

• Monthly bank reconciliations.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Approve invoices for authorisation.
• Review the commissions summary and expense summary.
• Review VAT Returns.
• Support external auditors.
• Prepare fixed asset register.
• Prepare the month end journals, including depreciation, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist in the completion of the year-end reports.
• Respond to ad hoc query reviews in a timely and professional manner.

Suitable profile:

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience/PQ.
• Financial services sector experience is desirable but not essential.
• Available to start an assignment in early January.
• Experience of fulfilling temporary assignments desirable but not essential.
• Self-starter who is happy to 'roll their sleeves up'.

These positions are 100% remote working. Therefore an appropriate home work space is essential. Travel required once a month for a team meeting held in the Medway area.

Role paying circa £18-£25 per hour (DOE) PAYE.
