SEMH Teaching Assistant | Richmond

First-Class Psychology Graduate required for a SEMH Teaching Assistant (Mental Health Support) role across KS3 and KS4 in a great Richmond Secondary School.

The school have an average Progress 8 Score and have been rated as 'Good' in their most recent Ofsted report. The report states "Pupils display positive attitudes to learning. Teachers expect them to work hard and try their best. Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) take part in all subjects across the curriculum. Leaders train staff and give them guidance on how to meet pupils' needs. Pupils with SEND, therefore, learn the same knowledge as their peers."

  • Monday-Friday, 8:30-4pm - Full Time
  • £70 per day, paid weekly on a PAYE basis

This role is a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant for the remaining academic year with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate. Having previous experience working with SEN children or children with challenging behaviour would be an advantage but is not essential. A can-do attitude and the ability to use initiative and communicate confidently will see you excel in this role. You as a SEMH Teaching Assistant will be supported by a strong inclusion team and senior leadership team who believe that every child should and will have access to mainstream education.
