Digital Channels Manager
  • Up to £300pd
  • 6 months
  • 35 hours a week (Mon-Fri)
  • Hybrid working
  • Office based in central London

A great opportunity has become available within a regulatory membership body based in the city of London. The successful candidate will be charged with managing and growing effective corporate digital channels for the organisation to support successful communications and increase engagement with key stakeholders.

What the role involves:
  • Responsible for the strategic development, design and ongoing maintenance of the websites and corporate social media channels
  • Responsible for sourcing quality digital content from internal teams and rail industry/third party partners, and tailoring it for the proposed audience/s and channel/s
  • Responsible for supporting other parts of the organisation in the planning, preparation and execution of digital communications relating to corporate and work stream activity, both public and restricted
  • Responsible for monitoring performance and availability of the digital channels using standard analytics tools, using feedback, statistics and other data to fine-tune these channels to improve the user experience, and providing regular reports to directors
  • Responsible for the day-to-day liaison with and management of the relevant website and monitoring agencies, including implementing new functionality or features
  • Responsible for project managing any major digital developments such as the procurement and building of a new website
  • Responsible for facilitating a range of stakeholder groups to develop and manage standard digital policies, as well as to develop and share consistent content, both internally and across the wider industry.

What the client is looking for:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with some experience in a similar or related role
  • Extensive experience of web content management and/or social media account management, including analytics
  • Able to lead on the development and maintenance of our corporate websites and social media channels
  • High degree of oral and written communication skills, including copy-writing
  • Experience of project managing a large digital project
  • Able to prioritise workload across a broad range of responsibilities, ensuring that key objectives are achieved
  • Able to communicate effectively with suppliers on technical and operational issues
  • Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver information in a relevant and engaging way
