This role will work within the Spark44 team, serving a global automotive client ( Jaguar Land Rover Transforms Global Marketing Communications Model | Accenture ). The Spark44 team creates brand communications, delivering award-winning creative and marketing effectiveness across end-to-end customer communications.

Our Team

We are looking for an Account Manager (UK Retail) to be responsible for managing UK Retailer Marketing campaigns. A focus on building client and Retailer relationships and managing workflows - working collaboratively to help define briefs, develop ideas and deliver effective and innovative solutions. The Account Manager will ideally have a proven track record and experience of managing automotive retailer campaigns at an operational level.

As an Account Manager your main responsibilities will be:

Client Management
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders across the business and support your day to day clients in all aspects of their campaigns
  • Ensure theclientunderstands agreed workflows and manage them through the delivery process - showing flexibility and providing practical advice to achieve a solution
  • Support the Account Director, and be able to work effectively and efficiently with both clients and other JLR agencies
  • Be a confident presenter, able to deliver ideas persuasively - and result in the progression of excellent and effectiveadvertising

Creative Development
  • Act as a brand guardian (especially for the retail network), immersing yourself in all JLR product developments and be able to advise on industry trends and developments both inside Spark44 and whilst working with client/other agencies
  • Clearly communicate and support the Creative team with the client'sbrief, ensuring the client's voice is not lost, but the creative boundaries are still pushed
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of the creative process - managingexpectations and time pressures, including managing creative resourcing
  • Establish an excellent "eye" for creative output, recognising strongcreative work and when work could be improved
  • Support the Account Director in the review of creative work. Be able to express objective opinions which arestrategically sound & carefully thought through. Be prepared to debate & defend these both internally and with Clients in a way that is constructive not confrontational

  • Manage the retailer co-fund process, ensuring agency partners, JLR and the internal finance team are aligned
  • Working closely and collaboratively with production/project management to ensure work is progressed through the delivery process and completed: on time, on brief and on budget
  • Working closely and collaboratively with the UK strategy team for the creation of larger creative briefs
  • Actively manage of content and reporting of the retailer asset portal and the UK Retailer enquiry inbox
  • Supporting UK JLR retailers via the phoneline and email platform, alongside providing guidance.
  • Have an excellent eye for detail and extremely high standards to act as an example to junior members of the account team
  • Deliver work to an exceptional standard, ensuring that everything that has been briefed has been actioned, before client presentation.
  • Attend client-facing meetings (when required), providing a supporting role to the Senior Account Manager/Account Director when they are presenting to the client.
  • Be responsible for creating and ensuring the client-facing contact Reports are produced from all client meetings - using the contact report agency templates.
  • Be responsible for writing all necessary Creative Development briefs after the client meetings
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the S44 business model
  • Navigate the Client Partner's approval process through to PN receipt, ensuring the Finance Team are fully aware.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the contractual obligations, commercial arrangements & SLAs of the account - escalating when necessary to avoid commercial risk
  • Managing Retailer budgets with Agency Partners and the S44 finance team

  • Integrated marketing experience (Digital, ATL & BTL production)
  • Luxury/automotive advertising experience is a plus but not essential
  • Experience of advertising origination and adaptation
  • Able to articulate and present ideas with conviction
  • Able to make decisions and solve problems based on sound technical knowledge
  • A clear communicator, in person and writing
  • Excellent time management/ prioritisation and project managements kills

  • Comfortable building strong connections with the wider Account Management function globally

  • Proficient using Apple software packages (including Microsoft for Mac), esp. Powerpoint, Excel, Keynote
