The Role:

This role will work within the Spark44 team, serving a global automotive client ( Jaguar Land Rover Transforms Global Marketing Communications Model | Accenture ). The Spark44 team creates brand communications, delivering award-winning creative and marketing effectiveness across end-to-end customer communications .

Account Manager is a critical role within the Birmingham office. The role has the responsibility for campaign content ownership (imagery and copy) for both DX & e-Brochure and driving through overall delivery of these key comms for Jaguar Land Rover, globally.The role works with the Resource Managers in the various functions, and in-market teams involved in the delivery, ensuring each is aware of the tasks at hand and on-track for delivery. You will be required to support the SAM/AD, presenting to the Client on project status and highlighting any risks, and mitigation of them.

We develop highly creative work so as Account Manager, you will need to have a keen sense of good creative, and attention to detail - this should come more naturally to you as you learn to interrogate creative work. You will also have an innate ability to develop strong, trusted relationships with our Clients.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Establishing yourself as a strong account handler, both internally and with the client, showing the ability to quickly build relationships, instilling trust & confidence in client
  • Maintaining clear and accurate documentation, files and recording notes and actions from meetings carefully (in contact report form). Further to input from your team, ensure that contact reports are supplied to clients, and all internal attendees, within 48 hours of a meeting
  • Successful delivery of projects - on time, on resource budget, on scope and to Spark44's expected level of quality
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop accurate timing plans for the delivery of projects and present to the SAMs/ADs and wider teams
  • Responsible for accurate and honest reporting of the status of all project deliverables
  • The internal 'single point of truth' for the project
  • Identify, communicate and manage the critical path on projects
  • Support the creation of a standardised project plan for DX and e-Brochure delivery
  • Manage all internal and external stakeholders involved in delivery, including third party suppliers. Facilitate communication and build lasting relationships between all internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure all creative and artwork time is booked in and the Resource Managers are briefed
  • Interrogate creative, to ensure that our response to the Client's Brief is fit-for-purpose/pushes the boundaries etc
  • Ensure that you keep abreast of the wider campaign marketing communications strategy e.g. ATL, Social and CRM
  • Brief market teams at the kick-off of the project and oversee the delivery to ensure it is on-time

Knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working in key advertising and marketing disciplines
  • Experience working in a client services/account management function, in a marketing agency environment
  • Passion about the industry demonstrated by a genuine interest in and enthusiasm for all aspects of marketing and communications
  • Ability to articulate what makes a good advertising campaign or communication initiative
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
