Employer description:

We are a multi award winning Northeast Car Dealer, based in Shiremoor just next to The Cobalt business park. We stock around 150 used cars and have a Bosch Car Service Centre, a Car Bodyshop and a new Preparation Centre based in North Shields.


We have over 60,000 Facebook followers across four of our Facebook pages and we are very keen on finding the right candidate to manage and run our social media / marketing department.

Full support and training will be given.

The ideal candidate needs to be very creative as we like to run competitions via live videos. We have our own presenters so don't worry if you are not keen on camera facing. We also have a Monster Truck and four Ford RS vehicles that we would like to take to shows and events.

This is a full-time position with the hope that the candidate says with us for many years.

The apprentice will start on a salary of £12,000 per annum, but will have a review after the first three months.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Writing social media content
  • Writing press releases
  • Writing blog posts and web content
  • Writing content for email campaigns
  • Researching clients' content, products and competitors
  • Scheduling and monitoring social media content
  • Replying to comments on social media
  • Proofreading and commenting on content created by other members of the Content Team
  • Reporting on the impact of content and social media
  • Staying up to date with social and digital trends and technologies and educating colleagues on the latest developments.
  • Contributing to idea generation for content and PR to promote clients' websites and services
  • Answering or making calls and maintaining a happy and confident manner on the telephone, over video and face to face.

Required qualities, skills and experiences:
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is passionate about the world of content and writing, as well as digital marketing.
  • An interest in writing is essential.
  • It is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and well-organised apprentice to work as part of the team responsible for The UK Number 1 Car Dealer.
  • This position requires a candidate who is confident and willing to develop.

  • Ability to create high quality written content
  • Excellent communication skills - especially written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge of digital, social and content trends
  • Research skills - qualitative and quantitative
  • Ability to analyse data and spot patterns and trends
  • Ability to produce monitoring reports and analyse statistics

Personal qualities:
  • Proven ability to learn - especially new digital marketing and media
  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team and as an individual
  • Able to meet deadlines and ask for / take support where needed
  • Happy to take feedback well and act on guidance given
  • Creative and ready to contribute new ideas
  • Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally in a confident manner

Entry requirements:

You need to have 5 GCSE's
  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above
  • 3x GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject

You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
