Cobalt are working with a large NHS Trust in London to recruit an interim Estates Manager, focusing on Compliance Management, for an initial 6-9 month contract paying £260-£280 per day LTD rate (inside IR35, via umbrella company).

The successful candidate will assist the Head of Estates throughout the whole range of Estate functions with specific responsibility for engineering statutory compliance, capital maintenance management software, PPMs, testing of plant & equipment and buildings and engineering services.

You will have/be able to:
  • Degree in Engineering, Building Related subjects or related experience.
  • The ability to provide the Head of Estates with professional & technical engineering advice and information as required.
  • Significant experience at a senior level in building services management.
  • Experience in the management of a high quality, responsive and cost effective estates service with a specific customer focus.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of building services maintenance.
  • In conjunction with the Estates Manager - Engineering Operations, deputise for the Head of Estates in all professional matters.
  • Utilise the PLANET computerised maintenance management software and database to ensure the highest levels of service resilience and statutory compliance are met.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call service and undertake Authorising Person (AP) or Responsible Person (RP) responsibilities for at least three of the following as per operationally required: LV/HV/Medical Gases/Ventilation/Decontamination/Pressure systems/Fire/Water Safety.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels in the organisation.
  • The ability to motivate staff and delegate responsibility whilst retaining accountability.
