With the scale of the challenge facing nature there are few roles as important as this. WWF's mission to halt and reverse nature's decline is a big ask. They know they cannot succeed alone, which is why they need a substantial step change in income and supporter growth. This is where your expertise comes in as Director of Individual Marketing and Legacies on a 12 month Maternity cover contract.

As a member of the leadership team, you will drive the work of multiple departments dedicated to attracting, engaging and inspiring members of the public to join WWF and support their work. The charity will look to you to develop and launch exciting new fundraising products, to attract new audiences as well as to optimise and improve the performance of existing fundraising programmes. You will also enhance their reputation for innovation by maximising the use of cutting-edge digital technologies, inventive media planning and ground-breaking creative execution. You will recruit, develop and motivate staff to perform at the highest level too. Important to the role will be the ability to create and deliver an integrated strategy to engage the UK public and maximise every opportunity to gain competitive advantage.

You must have experience in growing a large and complex individual giving programme across all fundraising channels and be comfortable creating and developing fundraising strategies. With an excellent understanding of performance metrics and KPIs for campaigning and engagement, you will be familiar with interpreting data and acting on insight. Good at overseeing external service partners, you will also possess in- depth knowledge of digital media and the use of digital channels for marketing communications. You will have strong understanding of fundraising and data protection regulations too. Critically, you will have significant expertise in customer or supporter development and care.

Comfortable managing budgets and building high performing teams, you will be effective at building relationships and taking decisions. You will favour a collaborative working style and possess outstanding interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. Of course, you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to the natural world and WWF's core mission too.

WWF-UK is committed to creating an inclusive working environment, where diversity is valued and there is equality of opportunity, and therefore welcomes applications from all sections of the community. They offer a range of benefits to encourage a work life balance.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. WWF is looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet's natural resources. They need you to join us them in the fight for our world.

PLEASE NOTE: We expect high demand for this opportunity and will be longlisting applications as soon as we receive them, so please apply early to register your interest.
