A SEN school in Ascot is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with Secondary age pupils to start ASAP on a full time basis.

This school based in Ascot works with students with Autism and associated challenging behaviour. The position would need to be filled by someone who is kind and friendly, resilient and is up for a challenge! For this role, experience with SEN is desirable and benficial but not entirely neseccary. Please apply if you are looking to pursue a career in the education sector.

To be considered for this role you will need to:
  • Hold and enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one with guidance)
  • Have experience working in a school setting, SEN setting is desirable
  • Provide support for pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
  • Assist with the development and implementation of education or behaviour plans
  • Establish trusted relationships with pupils and work with them on an individual needs basis.
  • Encourage pupils to interact in classroom learning and with their peers
  • Promote self confidence and set individual tailored goals and challenges
  • Have experience in behaviour management
