A SEN school based in Wantage in Oxford are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support for pupils with a range of special educational needs. The positive school environment is echoed through candidate feedback, where the staff and students have been described as very welcoming and supportive.

This school offers a nurturing environment for pupils, with severe emotional and social difficulties, working in Key Stages 2, 3,4, and 5. This school caters for a wide range of special educational needs, including the following: autism, dyspraxia, OCD, dyslexia, speech and language disorder.

As a successful SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
  • Provide 1:1 and group intervention support
  • Provide emotional, mental and education support
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately to pupils with different abilities
  • Have experience of working with students with special educational needs (not essential but desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
