JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a rewarding, varied role that offers exposure to the whole marketing mix, with a focus on creating and co-ordinating content for the Group's various marketing channels. Reporting to the Senior Communications & PR Officer, this role will entail:

• Co-ordinating all aspects of regular retailer communications (using CRM data), including excellent written communications and co-ordination of direct mail and EMS content

• Co-ordinating the lifecycles of their extensive range of brochures in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and support of export markets

• Writing new or updated brochure copy

• Writing high quality copy for both printed and digital marketing purposes

• All aspects of proof reading and the maintenance of information accuracy across brochures, letters, price lists and point of sale

• Maintaining company relations in a marketing capacity with the Group's independent retailers across the UK and Republic of Ireland

• Staying on top of industry news to inform well-versed communications across all literature

• Supporting the Creative Marketing Manager, co-ordinate the company's marketing videos, including: Video scripting and video creation with external videographer, voice over planning and video file maintenance both online and off

• Help administer and develop the existing CRM database of retailers to maintain accuracy of information and relevance to potential marketing activity

• Co-ordinating the launch of new products to the UK and Republic of Ireland

• Looking for creative ways to enhance and providing keyword rich copy with the aim of increasing web traffic across their many websites

• Supporting the Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator in their task of updating web copy to ensure all information is accurate and reflective of key marketing messages

• Supporting the Export Marketing Co-ordinator with written copy made available for translation

• Aid in the organisation of any exhibitions

• Assist the Marketing Director by undertaking vital competitor analysis and market research for key marketing reports

• Realising the overarching marketing goals and objectives, and communications strategy

• Take part in the general day to day operations of the busy Marketing department

• Supporting the Senior Communications & PR Officer with PR content where required

Assist in building and maintaining company relations with journalists and editors where required

PERSONAL SPECIFICATON

Candidates should possess:

• Education to A level or preferably Degree level

• Experience in a marketing/copywriting environment advantageous

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Excellent copywriting skills

• Experience of utilising CRM

• Experience of online marketing communications techniques

• Understanding of SEO techniques and writing for web audiences

• Experience of design and print projects

• Extensive skills using Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Outlook, with a knowledge of Photoshop, PowerPoint and Sage being an advantage

• Creative, 'hands-on' approach

• Ability to comprehend quickly new technologies and software

• Pro-active and responsive to generate new opportunities

• Excellent interpersonal skills complemented by the enthusiastic attitude required of a team player
