Senior Marketing Officer - Bournemouth - Salary up to £29,000

A Senior Marketing Officer is required for our client, a leading business based in Bournemouth. As the Senior Marketing Officer you will report into the Head of Marketing and Communications and be required to increase brand awareness, build reputation and meet targets. This will include communications and marketing of existing services and new services so the role requires strong experience in creating, implements and reporting on a range of communication and marketing channels.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the co-ordination of the marketing and communications plan
  • Support targets by planning, implementing and reporting on a range of channels including website, social media, third party advertising, email campaigns, events, news stories, press and PR, video, photography and publications
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Update the website when required and create monthly social media schedules for approval
  • Plan, implement and report on paid social media advertising campaigns
  • Manage relationships with third party websites, identify and arrange advertising opportunities
  • Liaise with teams across the business to ensure correct coverage, involvement and to provide updated and reports
  • Plan, draft and distribute email campaigns
  • Organise events, write and distribute press releases, liaise with journalists and arrange expert opinion opportunities to build brand reputation and awareness
  • Brief and liaise with external / third party agencies to create impactful material and content
  • Produce regular reports on marketing activity and results, identifying successes and improvements required
  • Contribute to the budget setting process and assist with monitoring associated expenditure
  • Keep current with trends and monitor competitor activity
  • Support with other duties if required

Key skills and experience:
  • A degree, diploma or similar qualification with an emphasis on marketing
  • Good marketing experience within the NHS / healthcare sector would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms for organic and paid-for advertising
  • Excellent journalistic copywriting and editing skills
  • Experience in planning and managing events
  • Experience in using Google Analytics and creating regular reports
  • Experience of creating and sending email campaigns with good engagement results
  • Good project management and organisational skills
  • Proactive with the ability o work independently and within a team

This is a full time permanent role, working Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday or evening work required to support or cover events.
