We require a Project Manager to cover an existing workload within a major police force, based in Sidcup (With 2 days working from home).

This is an interim position for an initial 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.

Role Purpose:
  • Fleet Services has a requirement to review its fleet of over 1000 pedal cycles. The cycles are used across London and are subject to arduous use to help keep Londoners safe and protect the public.
  • The project manager, with a strong background or significant interest in pedal cycles will be responsible for the care, maintenance and replacement of these bikes in the most cost effective way and will be responsible for the lifecycle of the cycle.
  • The project manager will need to meet the needs of operational staff and achieve the targets set in the Mayor's London Environment Strategy.

Skills required to be successful in the role:
  • Recent experience of project management
  • Relationship management Involving multiple stakeholders and external suppliers ideally in pedal cycle related area
  • Following formal (ideally public sector) governance procedures
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects, as measured in time, cost and quality benefits
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments in order to push forward project objectives
  • Previous experience of risk evaluation & management
  • Previous experience working in other Centrally Delivered Support Services
  • Previous experience in running procurements and creating clear project frameworks.
  • Experience working in a fast moving, high pressure environment; showing effective prioritisation and coordination of a varied workload to meet deadlines.

This role offers a competitive salary of £388.13 per day PAYE / £500 per day Umbrella and you'll be working via REED who offer great benefits such as discounts, cashback offers and more as well as weekly pay.
