This advertising and branding agency based on the South Bank, is part of one of the world's largest communications groups, and is looking for an Account Director with an expert knowledge of digital marketing for its healthcare operation. It's a well-established brand within the sector, and they offer global specialist healthcare to a wide range of household named organisations.

The job of Account Director is more senior in this agency than it is in some. It's a role where you will have line-management experience which will entail you managing the team working on all of the traditional areas of client requirements, including proposals, problem resolution, project allocation, recruitment and training. The products you will work with are a mix of prescription, over the counter, and consumer healthcare brands, but because of a large restructuring within one of their top clients they have taken on more responsibility for the whole of the European marketing of one of the top brand names in the marketplace, so the role is an absolutely vital one for the company at a time of expansion.

The vital element of this role is that you have a strong understanding of the digital marketing space, and are fully conversant in how this medium has an impact on pharmaceutical marketing strategy. You will probably have a life-science degree although at this level we would not necessarily expect one because of your experience, but you certainly will have been in the healthcare communications industry for over 5 years and enjoy the confidence of your peers and your clients. You will require experience in team building, management and motivation, financial acumen, strategic/tactical ability, skill in developing pitches, and the ability to deal with complex client issues.
