The Operations Director Role:
You will be the ‘number two’ in the business and have overall responsibility for the sales target as well as the delivery of software solutions to our customers and the relationships with those customers throughout their time as a customer.
You will be responsible for developing strategies and structures to enable the Operations Team to deliver industry leading sales, customer implementations, training and customer support.
Your primary focus is to build a team and a structure of continuous improvement to ensure that we are aligned to current and prospective customer needs, and are able to deliver award winning services.
You will work with the Management Team to scale up the business, ensuring that all departments have a joined-up approach and are able to deliver on our significant growth plans over the next 5-10 years.
Culture is a huge part of the business and you will need to demonstrate the ability to coach your direct reports in a manner that allows the whole team to develop.
Your role is directly linked to our core purpose of ensuring that we provide our industry with life enhancing software and a customer service to back that up.
+ Design and implement strategies for the Operations Team to ensure that our services (from sales through implementation right the way through to retention) are industry leading and meets the needs of our varied customer base.
+ Establish strategic plans along with leaders in other areas of the business and maintain strong relationships with the development team, product management and others as appropriate.
+ Provide oversight of the Sales Process and customer projects, both upcoming and in progress, maintaining control of schedules, budgets and risk issues.
+ Maintain up to date capacity planning for the Operations team, ensuring that all areas of the department are appropriately staffed and that risks, bottlenecks and roadblocks are identified and managed.
+ Work with the Function Heads to continually review the systems, processes, technology and resources available to the Operations team. Oversee and execute process improvements, and the development of policies, procedures, methods and tools. Ensuring that all improvement changes are rolled out in a joined-up way, working closely with all relevant stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure the success of the change programme.
+ Develop and lead the Operations Team, ensuring that the teams are engaged, motivated, and are growing their skills and talent to help future proof our business.
+ Demonstrated progressive experience managing, leading and/or delivering Operations.
+ Experience managing technical, cross-functional Operations teams (e.g., sales, consulting, implementation, trainers, project managers) and delivery partners.
+ Proven experience building and leading a team of people in a fast-paced company.
+ Demonstrated progressive experience with a subscription-based business model, delivering on-premises and SaaS solutions.
+ Demonstrated experience building and scaling an Operations business with accountability for financial targets.
