Finance Manager
Temporary to Permanent Opportunity for the right candidate
Full time - 35 hours per week
Salary - Up to £37,000 depending on experience
Hybrid working - 1 day in the office / 4 days working from home
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Credit control, including the recovery of debt
- Processing the payment run and reconciling supplier accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing the payroll
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Supporting the Finance Director with monthly management accounts
- Participating in strategic costing and fee structures for the CEO & Leadership Team
- Participating in the year-end in preparation for external audit
- Maintaining systems are in place to ensure that all major business risks of/to the charity are identified and analysed on a regular basis
- Making recommendations on the processes and procedures being utilised, report on the findings and recommendations and monitor management's response and implementation
- Reviewing the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of the financial and other information that is provided to management
- Reporting on the value for money that the charity obtains in all its activities with special regard to economy, efficiency and effectiveness
- Providing Managers and the Trustees with advice and recommendation on the internal controls of the charity
- Ensuring all relevant recording is in accordance with agency policy and procedures and National Minimum Standards
- Attending Leadership Team and other relevant meetings concerned with planning, developing, delivering, evaluating and promoting the wider agency services as appropriate to the role
- Training and supervision of team to process transactions.
- Working with the Contracts Officer to manage invoicing and payments
- Participating in the Finance Working Group as required
- Taking up such opportunities for training provided by the agency
- Contributing to the review and development of relevant policies and procedures, as required
- Undertaking any such other tasks as may be reasonably requested from time to time by the Finance Director
