Assistant Accountant

Our property and housing client based in Bedford is looking to welcome a Assistant Accountant to their efficient finance team. The successful Assistant Accountant will play a key role in the month end process with a varied role available. This role will suit an Assistant Accountant who is studying towards their ACCA/CIMA/ACA and has experience with balance sheet reconciliations.

Our property and housing client based in Bedford are showing fantastic growth going into 2022 and are therefore looking to expand their finance team by bringing and Assistant Accountant to join their team. They offer a flexible / hybrid working structure with core hours of 10 - 5. They are know in the local community for offering a stable and progressive working environment for their employees to flourish.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant are:

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Accruals and Prepayments
• Month end journals
• Assisting with financial statements and audit
• Assisting with accurate tax returns
• Supporting the wider finance function

Profile

The Assistant Accountant will:

• Be ideally studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• Have a firm understanding of financial risk
• Have a creative mindset
• Have experience in reporting
• Have experience in Management and Financial Accounting
• Be able to demonstrate a proactive attitude
• Be a strong communicator written and verbal
