Financial Accountant

Goodman Masson have partnered with an established Investment Management company based in London to assist with their search for an ACA Qualified, Financial Accounting to join their growing finance team for a minimum of 4 months.

The Financial Accountant plays a central role in the monthly reporting cycle of the investment trust, taking ownership of corporate financial and management accounting as well as handling ad-hoc requests from other department.

Role outline:

• Preparation and posting of monthly journals e.g. corporate expenses, prepayments, payroll, recharges, fixed assets
• Produce monthly schedule breakdowns of key balance sheet items
• Review and correction where required of cash balances, running of FX revaluation
• Production of net asset schedule for monthly group consolidated position
• Run monthly revaluation and reconciliation process to ensure corporate GL accurately reflects investment transaction system
• VAT reporting: production of quarterly data for VAT returns
• Preparation and review of group subsidiary statutory accounts
• Provision of data to auditors throughout year end and interim audits
• Assistance to FP&A when identifying variances of accruals versus budget and forecast
• Provision of support to Tax department re analysis of P&L items

Key qualifications and experience:

• Fully qualified accountant
• Financial accounting experience in industry an advantage
• Experience of dealing with multiple systems and report configuration an advantage
