Azure Cloud Engineer
£500 per day (Outside IR35)
Remote

An Azure Cloud Engineer is required for our client based in Bolton. The role is fully remote and outside IR35. You will be helping the organisation progress their journey into DevOps.
An Azure Cloud Engineer is required to join the Platforms team to help automate and provision environments across the organisation's platforms and to assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of their Azure environment. You will also help transition workloads from on premise to cloud.

You must have experience in working with Azure IaaS and PaaS in a DevOps capacity.

Key Accountabilities
Design, planning and implementation of Azure cloud solutions with a core focus on automation and DevOps
You will lead and deliver projects that encompass systems architecture, proof of concept and deployment services
Be a subject matter expert and advisor to the IT development teams for best practices and best-fit solutions in Azure
You will help build and develop governance around Azure cloud solutions including networking, security and development pipelines
You will work on the transition of on premise workloads to Azure
You will work closely with internal .Net developers and infrastructure personnel to strengthen Azure skills and knowledge
You will work closely with the Product Manager to ensure IT objectives are achieved

Essential Skills and Attributes:
Agile - Experience of Agile Scrum methodology is an advantage.
Advanced experience of Azure CI/CD pipelines including YAML
Strong PowerShell/AZ CLI scripting skills
Strong experience of Terraform
1 to 2 years Azure management skills
Clear understanding of DevOps and infrastructure as code principles and practices
Have good analytical skills, be methodical and accurate and show great attention to detail.
