Thisnew role is for an Implementation Consultant with strong experience of finance and ERP solutions, and good functional consulting skills. The company is an ERP specialist with 2 UK offices, working with cloud accounting software and the SAP Business ByDesign solution and particularly present in the distribution, manufacturing, professional services and finance sectors.
They are looking for a seasoned Implementation Consultant with 10 years + experience and very strong finance & ERP skills, to cross train to SAP Business ByDesign. The ByDesign solution is leading the way at the moment and the sector is very strong, and growing rapidly. The package to start with will be a base of up to £42,000 with a £4,200 bonus and a £4,800 car allowance, so around £51k.
So you will come in at the bottom end to start with, whilst you learn the product and get up to speed. However, their experienced SAP Business ByDesign consultants at platinum level, are earning £65-80K base pus the 10% bonus + the car allowance, so the long term career offer here, could reap you a package of around £75k - £92k.
They are looking for a very experienced ERP & Finance Consultant with strong accounting experience who can do finance and ERP implementations end to end, and is keen to learn SAP Business ByDesign. You need to be able to talk to a client about their business requirements and particularly the finance aspects of the implementation, and be believable.
You enjoy client facing work, taking the requirements, running workshops, configuring the software to fit, managing the implementation and training the users. You will be working on new SAP Business ByDesign projects, plus upgrades and other consulting work.
Clients are scattered all over the UK, so travel to company sites is a regular part of the role. You will be based from home and probably go into their head office a couple of times a month, although initially you will spend a fair amount of time in the office while you learn the ropes and the solution. Oxford is not where their head office is located, it is juts a marker point.
As a company they look after their clients, they have a high-level service ethos, so you will be able to do a good job and get each implementation right (within reason), once you have enough product knowledge. This leads to the longer-term relationships and the repeat orders, so you will find over a period of years that you get to know companies and see them grow and change, partly as a result of your work.
This is a very professional environment. You will have a lot of autonomy, but colleagues are really supportive, and are happy to help you when you have questions. Natural progression would probably be into project management and you will get very good training in SAP Business ByDesign both in-house and externally.
Most importantly, the management team are a great bunch of people, very approachable and with the right attitude to their staff. This is a really good place to settle down and build on your career, there is a good work / life balance and that is why they have very low staff turnover.
If you have 10 years or more Finance & ERP implementation experience & good functional consulting skills, and can see the long term benefit of moving into the SAP Business ByDesign market, get in touch with Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing.
