Growing FinTech requires a Senior Application Support Engineer to act as a 2nd and 3rd level escalation point for their systems and technology platform while working closely with the support and development team.

The job comes with a starting salary of £60-85K p.a. with generous benefits, including a bonus, flexible working, rising pension contribution, 25 days holiday (with an option to buy/sell up to 5 days), income protection, medical insurance etc.

Required skills and experience for Senior Application Support Engineer
  • Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Maths or similar IT
  • Supported hosted enterprise applications
  • As many of the following as possible, SQL, Monitoring and scheduling tools, XML, Windows Servers, Virtualisation/Containerisation, DevOps, SRE tools
  • Highly analytical, capable of deep analysis to solve technical problems

Primary responsibilities as a Senior Application Support Engineer
  • Own and manage support for assigned clients at 2nd/3rd line
  • Resolve incoming tickets
  • Monitor infrastructure and application health
  • Service reporting and configuration changes

The Senior Application Support Engineer works a shift rota covering 6 am to 11 pm as follows:
  • Three days a week normal shifts (9 am> 5.30 pm)
  • One day a week early shift (6 am> 2.30 pm)
  • One day a week late shift (2.30 pm> 11 pm)
