This is an opportunity to join a global, independent, science and technology b2b communications consultancy. With headquarters in the UK and overseas, offering clients a global footprint, they build a bridge between science and commercial strategy for the benefit of their clients and have more than 20 years' experience in scientific and technology industries.

They have sustained an enviable and sensible level of growth over the past 2-3 years, which has been through rough waters and have retained every single member of staff and rewarded & promoted, many. They offer a culture which is not based on long hours but on a supportive and considered attitude to the development of their staff, many of which started in junior roles and now hold senior positions.

The role:

The successful applicant will proactively manage marketing communications programmes for a range of B2B clients, across different sectors. This will typically include projects such creative and branding, inbound and content marketing, PR, media relations through to social and digital.

You will be the key client contact and have the support of senior agency practitioners, but you must have a demonstrable track record in establishing trusted relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues. You will combine creativity with knowledge of the media to recognise media angles and generate positive news coverage, profile pieces and features across a broad media spectrum

The role will be aimed at developing strategies and activities for clients, alongside their senior directors and oversee their execution, quality controlling all aspects of the clients' programmes and relationship with the agency. You will also supervise AEs' and Interns' activity and workload, identifying any training / development opportunities and drawing on suitable resources to enhance their skills or confidence in addition to, helping junior consultants and participate in their appraisals.

What we're looking for:

You will have experience in some or all of: PR / earned media, digital marketing, branding, creative, media buying, events. This will have been gained in a B2B environment & you'll ideally be educated to degree level (ideally in English, marketing, PR or science), combined with at least 3 years' agency.

A thorough understanding of the value and importance of PR in the overall communications/marketing mix as well as strong knowledge of digital and new marketing strategies, tools, channels and trends. A deep knowledge of client sectors, industries, businesses and competitors / market context is important as is the ability to understand clients' strategic challenges and provide advice on marketing / PR solutions.

Strong familiarity with all agency processes and procedures is handy and consistent compliance / monitoring of junior team members & an understanding of the role of research and insight in the PR and marketing mix.
