This role is being advertised on behalf of Gem Partnership who are trading as an employment business.

Due to a sustained period of growth, my client who are a global, industry leading manufacturing company are looking to hire a number of experienced Working Team Leaders, to work at their Hartlepool facility.

Job Purpose
  • To lead the team to achieve its operational tasks
  • Striving for world class performance
  • Using the resources available associated with leading the team including Training, Communications and effective Team Building.
  • Be the natural leader who can inspire and motivate individuals to drive performance
  • Achieve personal and business goals and also drive a continuous improvements culture through total engagement and development of the workforce.
  • To manage all areas and their Teams to achieve the KPI Targets (Safety, OEE including 'Adherence/WIP Levels/Efficiency'& Scrap).

Accountability
  • Ensure that self and all employees under WTL control complies with all Health & Safety Requirements including Workplace Organisation, Working Methods/SOP's, Risk Assessments & PPE compliance at all times
  • Full accountability of all first stage investigations to include conduct, quality, customer concerns, HSE, ensuring this is circulated to all relevant parties. Any follow up actions identified should be escalated to the SGL for support to close out in a timely manner.
  • Utilise workforce to best effect.
  • Full accountability for all GEMBA quality audits within their respective area
  • Accountable for all work that has been put on hold during the working shift
  • Peer to Peer Shop Floor Hand Over
  • Full accountability within their respective team's ensuring all underperforming individuals are dealt with according to company processes and procedures
  • Full accountability to complete workflow investigations with reported recommendations / actions.
  • Identify training and development opportunities for each employee in area of ownership
  • Use active listening to engage with the team to achieve a zero acceptance of any unsafe or abnormal condition

Further information
  • You must be able to work 12hr shifts including 07:00 - 19:00 OR 19:00 - 07:00
  • Able to work 13 shifts per 28 day period (average of 37.5hrs per week)
  • Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment preferred but other sectors considered.

Salary £27,855 plus premium rate O/T and company benefits.
